Iowa Legendary Rye has been passing down their family rye recipe since 1932 from a strong willed woman named Lorine Sextro. Their knowledge of the craft and ingredients used is unparalleled by any of their competition.
Rye isn’t “easy” to drink straight like bourbon, Scotch, or Irish whiskey. Its flavors can overwhelm or alienate drinkers who are more accustomed to sweeter, smoother spirits. This type of drink can lend itself to an older demographic, but with updated packaging we can target the untapped younger crowd.

We were tasked with creating an updated packaging system, using the only the last name “Sextro” that would appeal to this new target audience. This a conceptual packaging system that accommodates their rye varieties.
